This set of 8 A4 size cards, consisting of enlarged picture icons from the consonant and vowel sound indexes of Soundasaurus, helps to automate sound/picture correspondence of the icons and focus sounds and assists children to navigate around the indexes quickly.

  1. Under each picture is a red or blue dot to denote whether the focus sound is a vowel sound or a consonant sound.
  2. The coloured dot is positioned either on the far left, middle or far right to indicate whether the focus sound is the first, medial or end sound in the word that the index picture represents.
